Analgesic Use and Risk for RCC
- International Journal of Cancer
This analysis included 1217 renal cell carcinoma (RCC) cases and 1235 controls from the US Kidney Cancer Study and 98,807 participants in the US Prostate, Lung, Colorectal and Ovarian Cancer Screening Trial. In the case–control study, there was a weak association between over-the-counter, but not prescription, acetaminophen use and RCC. In the screening study, there was an association between short-term, but not long-term, acetaminophen use and RCC. There was no association between aspirin and other NSAID use and RCC in either study.
